Pritchard-Gordon Tankers (PG Tankers) has taken delivery of a new low-emission methanol-ready tanker flagged by the Isle of Man Ship Registry (IOMSR).
The newly added vessel, LETTIE PG, a new 10,600 DWT IMO II oil product and chemical tanker has entered service under the Isle of Man flag as part of Pritchard-Gordon Tankers’ (PG Tankers) fleet renewal program.
As stated, the vessel is methanol fuel ready, fitted with peak-shaving batteries charged by solar power and has zero emissions discharge and cold ironing capabilities.
The tanker also features FKAB’s patented F-Bow, CFD optimization for reduced wave resistance, and an integrated propulsion system with a twisted leading-edge rudder and optimized propeller-hull configuration aiming to enhance speed efficiency while also reducing underwater noise and cavitation.
This vessel represents a new generation of environmentally focused tanker design, tailored to unique trading requirements and it demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability. We are very proud to support this forward-thinking vessel under the Isle of Man flag and commend PG Tankers on its leadership in innovative and sustainable shipping.
