The IMO's Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue Sub-Committee (NCSR 12) took place on 13 - 22 May 2025 at the IMO in London.

Lloyd’s Register’s (LR) has provided an overview of the key outcomes of the 11th session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE), which took place 24 – 28 February, 2025. 

Phase 1 of the review identified gaps on the STCW Convention and Code, focusing on 22 specific areas, including implementation, emerging technologies on ships, e-certification, mental health and gender sensitization, among others.

Meeting in London from 10 to 14 February, the IMO Sub-Committee recognized the industry’s growing need for such guidelines due to the increasing use of alternative fuels and the associated safety risks.

Lloyd’s Register’s (LR) has provided an overview of the key outcomes of the 11th session of the Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping, which took place 10 – 14 February 2025 at the IMO in London. 

IACS will actively participate in the forthcoming 11th session of the Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE 11) which will meet from 24 to 28 February 2025.

The eleventh session of the  IMO Ship Design and Construction Sub-Committee (SDC 11) met in London 13 – 17 January 2025, where many technical and operational requirements related to ship design and construction were discussed.

The Secretary-General, Arsenio Dominguez, opened the 11th session of the Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction (SDC 11), taking place 13-17 January, 2025, by providing an overview of the relevant matters to be discussed. 

The 10th session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 10) met 16-20 September 2024, where various matters were discussed. 

In his speech delivered on 16 September 2024, as an opening remark the 10th session of the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 10), IMO Secretary-General, Arsenio Dominguez, expressed serious concerns about geopolitical conflicts affecting shipping and endangering seafarers.
